Rhizome Network, VP - Innovation Services

Matt currently serves as VP of Innovation Services at Rhizome Network, where his team creates opportunities for Rhizome’s global network of innovators to deliver valuable solutions to our customers. Across a range of industries from materials to food and beverages, Matt leverages a strong technical background and commercial focus to understand customer’s challenges and align our technology sourcing and development efforts to address them. 

 

Prior to Rhizome Network, Matt led teams at Xinova, an open innovation platform. Matt also co-founded medical imaging startup LodeSpin Labs, focused on developing next-generation cardiac diagnostic imaging. After leading the spinout from the University of Washington, Matt served as CEO, helping to secure $1.5MM in research funding and managing the company’s global research programs.

Matt earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and a Certificate in Technical Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington.
